Acid reflux treatment with medicines

Antacids of Alignates antacids are generally available without a doctor's prescription and relieve the symptoms of acid indigestion and heartburn (dyspepsia).

The usual ingredients of antacids are magnesium or aluminium and they work by neutralizing acid in the stomach, which was the cause of indigestion and acid reflux. Sodium alginate often contain this group, a protective layer of the esophagus and stomach.

Proton pump inhibitors Proton pump inhibitors are drugs which called shut down the system in the stomach of the Proton pump. This system produces acid in the stomach, the weaknesses in the esophagus causes acid reflux.

Ranitidine is the best-known group of this drug, other, FAMOTIDINE and nizatidine cimetidine.

Side effects are few, but can display as diarrhea, headaches, dizziness and fatigue. Hair loss is by customers of cimetidine and with nizatidine, reported, sweating.

Proton pump inhibitors and H2-receptor antagonists are used with antibiotics, to get rid of the Helicobacter pylori infection to stomach ulcers and duodenitis.

Warning: If the symptoms of heartburn persist, questions you your doctor. You can be indicative of something much more serious than indigestion. Never start on a course of medication without consulting a doctor. Never take medication, which prescribed for someone else.
