~ A sudden paralysis ~ it was after a weekend in St. Augustine, Florida, that Jim Olbrich had his too close for comfort brush with death. That night, crashed a blood clot in his brain and caused a large hemorrhagic stroke. A line which left Jim walk like Frankenstein.
Jim had driven two hours back in his house in Orlando. Tired, he went to bed... but he found trouble having roles... could be obtained not easily for sleep in position.
While the night feeling it like a little girl hand pulled him out of bed. Jim heads for the bathroom... not yet aware that his links are already losing the control was. He hit the walls... came his way... Finally. Jim was the toilet... for a while on the ground was.
Next thing... Jim was in a helicopter-is kidnapped at the hospital. It happened that quickly! And it happened while he was sleeping.
~ Blood pressure on the brain ~ later in critical care, Jim... a crack his skull is crack sound on his right side. Then it started his head hurt. The nurse on duty offered a simple solution "well..." "I some Tylenol get."
But... This was not simple headache be solved by a few pills. Jim was quick in a coma.
In the operating room opened his skull... Blood was drained... the pressure was released. But... "My brain turned out!"
When Jim awoke the next morning "I have a gazillion staples in my head... all together." He was also died.
~ Waking up in the morgue ~ declared was declared dead and in the morgue. A body bag was in the neighborhood and nurse was a day set to Jim's big toe. Lucky for Jim, the rubber band confused with the hair on his toe. If the nurse moved back... they ripped some of Jim out ' s. He wake up!
If Jim sat down and said that... frightened nurse ran for the door. Instead, she ran head first into the wall. Right away... You had to get Jim to wait. Finally, he was back in his room... Wheels much nicer than spend a night in the morgue.
"I would have spent the rest of my life just someone else's feet."
~ What the cause of the stroke? ~ After years constantly checked out... Jim feels that the doctors are still rates. His cardiologist believes it was heart a blood vessel on the front of Jim's... it exploded and blew the fatal clot... send in the direction of Jim's brain.
The clot causes, that a "brain bleeds"-a destructive haemorrhagic stroke. Pressure connection pooling blood "broken", Jim's brain.
~ Jim is still paralyzed ~ now, three years later, as Jim does? "Not bad". Jim is not complaining. His sense of humor is one thing that got him through this ordeal.
Sporting a carbon fiber plate in his skull... completely paralyzed on his left side... constant headaches suffer... On all its ensure Jim chuckles. "I walk like Frankenstein... on a stick."
Jim is still on therapy and hope for a day "be gracious." If Jim's doctor had to correct... Jim would not be running at all. But... Jim is stubborn. He can not go quite... but with his persistence, he do.
It is a source of... he lost relief for Jim never his ability to speak. Also, his memory is still very good... Empty points apart from a few. "they are me a total mystery."
You can be maintained in a small piece of the brain... in a pot. A piece of Gehirns--"the size of mean little finger"-is still in a pot downtown. Jim is not in the position, it still see..., but he wants. "I want to see where my memory."
~ Be Jim paralysis can handle? ~ "This is forever!"
Or, allow for more research the T cell. Should Jim... He is on everyone's list for volunteers. What Jim should now have a new President... someone who is not against this research is.
Why is the current Government against T-cell research? "This is because they are healthy!"
~ How a stroke to prevent ~ Jim's advice? "Keep an eye out on your cholesterol." "Arteries clogging... This is the problem."
High LDL cholesterol leads to atherosclerosis. And bad eating habits, this problem is high blood pressure, diabetes and obesity. You set all at high risk of heart attack and stroke.
Take time today... Look at your diet. Could it be healthier? Eat better, get some exercise, a life of longer and healthier.
Jim wants you to join him. He is very satisfied that the only thing is when Frankenstein is running. If you cannot keep its history of suffering which he has... suffered you have a big smile on his face.
